Please read the terms and conditions carefully. By booking into a swim session you are confirming that
you understand and accept our T&C’s, if there is any doubt, please ask for clarification on any point. We
suggest you receive independent advice before using our facilities. Some terms might appear a little
harsh but please be sure everything we have shared is for the benefits and the welfare of your dog,
other patrons and yourself. We want to be transparent in everything we do and want the dogs and their
pawrents to have lots of fun, be safe and be assured of our responsible attitude and practises. If you
have any suggestions to add or amend within the content we are always open to listen.
Your Dog
1.
Your dog must be in good health and be fully vaccinated or Titre tested
2.
No in season bitches will be allowed or those up to 3 weeks after their season start for reasons of hygiene and the consideration of male dogs who might be sharing any group sessions
3.
We like to welcome all dogs to our pool although we do take exceptional care when allowing those banned breeds into the facility. Banned breeds including XL Bullies must be muzzled until pool side and can only be booked for an exclusive session although may share the pool with one dog of their own household. Owners of XL bullies or banned breeds MUST have an exemption certificate or third party insurance
4.
Please ensure your dog does not eat within 2 hours before they enter the pool
5.
It’s a great idea to make use of our exercise field to possibly move their bowels before pool time.
6.
While we understand accidents can happen, if your dog defecates or vomits in the pool the session will have to be stopped and you must leave the pool immediately while we run a sanitising process. There will be no refunds for lost time in the pool, however any patrons sharing the pool with you will be given a voucher for a free swim at our cost.
7.
All dogs must have their claws clipped short to prevent puncturing the pool liner. Entry may be refused if your dogs claws are sharp. We can assist with his on request at a cost of £10 per dog.
8.
We encourage dogs with injuries or those recovering from surgery to use our pool as this is a fantastic aid to most recovery procedures, however please consult with your vet to ensure that his type of exercise is suitable for the recovery process.
9.
All dogs must be kept on a leash and under your control when travelling to the pool and fun area
10.
All dogs must be clean, brushed or blasted before entering the pool. This is best done at home before your session time to maximise your time in the pool. We do however have warm hose down facility on site to remove any dirt that may have been picked up from our play area.
11.
NO SHAMPOO, SOAPS OR ANY OTHER DETERGENT IS TO BE USED WHEN WASHING DOWN YOUR DOGS BEFORE OR AFTER THEIR SWIM
12.
If your dog has been swimming in ponds, lakes, rivers or any other water source up to and including 48 hours before coming to Doggie Paddle please wash them with a suitable shampoo at home so as not to transfer any bacteria or algae into our pool.
13.
Should your dog be reactive we must trust you to make us aware before your booking, this can be done by completing the ‘anything else we need to know’ box on our booking form. You will need to agree that should your dog show any signs of unwelcomed aggression or dangerous behaviour. You can still come along BUT you MUST book a solo session
14.
Dogs who had or have suffered diarrhoea within 48 hours of your session cannot enter the pool. We ask that you reschedule your session
Use of Doggy Paddle facilities
15.
For the avoidance of any doubt, you are responsible for any dog in your control whether it belongs to you or not you remain the legal and responsible owner.
16.
You are responsible for the welfare of your dog. We will not tolerate the mistreatment of any dog at Doggie Paddle. If we have any concerns about the welfare and treatment of any animal we reserve the right to make a report to the necessary authorities.
17.
Dogs must be accompanied at all times while enjoying any part of our premises, it will never be allowed to swim or play without adequate supervision. For the avoidance of doubt remaining in your vehicle or visiting other patrons on site is not adequate supervision. We provide a suitable undercover viewing area and outdoor seating for your comfort at pool side and in the play paddock to ensure you are adequately accompanying your dog.
18.
Your 30 minute swim includes your time entering and exiting the pool, both you and your dog are asked to exit the pool 5 minutes before the session ends on time so that patrons following are allowed their full pool time. If you yourself want to join us in the pool please arrive appropriately dressed or use our changing room to be ready for your session and benefit from your full time slot.
19.
It has been medically proven that a 1 minute swim is equal to a 4 minute walk for dogs therefor we do encourage a minute or so break during the session and no more than a 20 minute swim time subject to agility or fitness of your dog. This is at your discretion since you know your dog best
20.
Dogs MUST NOT be thrown or pushed into our pool, this will discourage them to swim or enjoy the facility and possibly cause them to be anxious which in turn could make them unpredictable in their manner. You will be asked to leave with no possibility of a refund and asked not to visit us again.
21.
Any dog booked into a group session showing signs of aggression to others will be asked to leave without refund and encouraged to book a solo session in future.
22.
If you chose to enter the pool with your dog, this will be entirely at your own risk and at the discretion of the session leader
23.
Children over the age of 16yrs are welcome into the pool during solo sessions but must be accompanied by a responsible adult who can swim unaided and is over 18 years of age on a 1 to 1 basis ( i.e 2 children – 2 adults etc) to a maximum of 3 people in the pool including our staff member. If you enter the pool you must be a confident swimmer or use a flotation device if required, be able to have head and shoulders above the water line when standing and be both comfortable and confident in the water. Again your child is your responsibility and while we want you all to have fun there must not be any actions that breach normal pool areas such as bombing, jumping diving etc. for clarity our pool is 4ft (1200cm) deep and our access ladder is tested safe to 16 stone. Only 1 person can use the steps at a time.
24.
You agree to leave our facilities in the same condition as when you arrived and you are responsible to take away your doggie waste or any litter with you when you leave.
25.
We use our best endeavours to ensure that our facilities are safe for both you and your animals however the nature of the fun play areas (eg the paddock beyond) may be muddy or slippery at times thanks to the British weather so when it is wet you really must exercise common sense and caution when using our facilities.
26.
The ramp into the pool is for dog use only as is the diving board. Please do not use it to enter or exit the pool.
27.
If you want to get into the pool please ensure you wear sensible footwear ie slip on soft soul shoes, canvas or rubber uppers or verruca socks are a great and cheap alternative, something to slip on that will not damage the pool floor or hinder your use of the premises. There will be no flippers, goggles or masks
28.
All and any toys brought to the site by yourself must be able to float i.e rubber or plastic so as not to foul the water. However be aware that if you bring your own toys to a group session other dogs may get hold of them in their play time.

A booking fee of £10 per animal must be made at the time of booking unless other arrangements have been made with the management and pay the cash balance on arrival. This system makes it easier to manage deposits lost when non attendance occurs and save monetary issues or delays where refunds might be due.
